媒體詢問，訪日期間，他曾說未來總統當選人蔡英文上任後，台日關係一定會更好？柯文哲笑說，「到日本一定要這樣講，不管情形怎樣，也要這樣講」。
柯文哲表示，國防跟外交是總統職權，台北市長只是在城市外交盡一點努力，促進交流、增加善意，或是招攬觀光客。他也認為蔡英文上任後，國際局勢應該會比較好。1050131
